Apr. 17th, 2017 05:59 pmHe had finally gotten a job after honestly what wasn't too long of a search, especially considering his resume was old enough to retire. There had been a gun store someone had mentioned to him as specializing in "vintage" firearms. Daniel wasn't sure he needed one of those, but he'd been interested enough to go by. Turned out the owner was hiring and appreciated someone who had personally used more than one of the guns on display. He also appreciated someone who could sort and file, which Daniel was damn good at doing. So now he had a job in the office, with an awareness that he might need to go up front and sell something or talk about something if he was called to do it.
He'd finished up that day's work and headed over to a cafe to grab some dinner. The table in the corner suited him. Easy to see the door, easy to see everyone else, and no one could sneak up on him. Plus he could rest his crutch on the wall. He'd just settled in with a menu when he glanced up and saw John Riley from the festival. He smiled at the fella, but he didn't call the other man over just yet. Riley'd seen him. He'd come by if he wanted.
