New Clothes

 He needed a job.  And if he was gonna get a job, he needed to have clothes to wear to his interview.   He'd watched men in the city over the past couple of weeks and he knew the clothes he had weren't gonna cut it.  He had the clothes he arrived in, he'd gotten some skivvies, and then he found a few things in secondhand shops, but in all cases he'd tended towards clothes from eras he recognized.  That meant he didn't look particularly modern or professional, and he needed to look both of those things if he was gonna convince anyone to overlook his leg, his lack of a job history here, or his education level.   He wasn't quite convinced that clothes made the man, but he knew it could help.  

He'd looked in the paper to see who advertised what and ultimately decided to go to Bardolf's.  It seemed like this place's version of Macy's, which meant it wasn't going to be cheap, but Daniel was more likely to find someone who could help him with his situation at a higher-end store than from just going to Objective.   Besides, if he could pay more for better pants that lasted longer with his prosthetic, he'd do it.  

He stepped into the store on the ground floor and looked around to see where the men's department might be.
